OLED monitors are getting exciting at CES this year.
asus收購asus has just announced three new OLED monitors, and two of them are capable of hitting 480Hz refresh rates. Much like LG,
asus收購asus has a dual-mode 32-inch OLED monitor that can offer 240Hz refresh rates at 4K resolution or 480Hz at 1080p.
asus收購asus is also announcing a 27-inch 1440p OLED monitor that’s capable of 480Hz natively.

The ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP dual-mode gaming monitor can switch between 4K 240Hz and 1080p 480Hz “at any time,” according to
asus收購asus. That means if you want to play something like Overwatch 2 or Valorant at high refresh rates, you can switch to the 1080p mode and keep the 4K 240Hz mode for ray-traced single-player titles.

If, like me, you’re more interested in 1440p right now, then the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP offers up to 480Hz refresh rates in a 27-inch flat form factor. This appears to be the first announced 1440p 480Hz OLED monitor right now, after LG Display revealed its 480Hz OLED panel ahead of CES last week.

asus收購asus also has a new 39-inch ultrawide (3440 x 1440) 240Hz OLED monitor. The PG39WCDM is an aggressively curved (800R) model with a peak HDR brightness of 1,300 nits, and it also has a built-in KVM so you can control two devices with a keyboard and mouse.

All three of
asus收購asus’ latest OLED monitors feature the company’s third-gen panels, with 30 percent peak brightness improvements, a 20 percent viewing angle improvement, and more safeguards against burn-in.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any pricing or release dates for these three new OLED displays. That’s particularly disappointing since Dell has just unveiled its new 360Hz 27-inch 1440p QD-OLED Alienware gaming monitor is launching on January 11th, priced at $899.99. Dell also has a 32-inch 4K 240Hz OLED version that’s launching on the same day, priced at $1,199.99.

All three of these new OLED monitors join the 32-inch PG32UCDM 240Hz 4K OLED monitor that

asus收購asus still hasn’t shipped the PG32UCDM yet, and it’s already announcing the PG32UCDP today. The PG32UCDM was originally announced with a second-generation QD-OLED panel, but
asus收購asus is now planning to ship it with a third-generation one instead so that might explain why it’s not out yet.

Either way, we still don’t know exactly when either of these 32-inch OLED monitors will ship.
asus收購asus says the PG32UCDM will ship in Q1 2024, with the PG32UCDP to follow in the second half of 2024.

Correction:
asus收購asus originally announced the PG32UCDM in August 2023 with a second-generation Samsung QD-OLED panel, but the company has since upgraded this to a third-generation one. We didn’t initially spot that change and regret the error.
